Our new homestay student

lee.jpgOn Sunday our new homestay student Lee (Le) came to live with us. He is from Vietnam, from Ho chi minh City. This week he has been attending classes at Oxley College called bridging English, which he will study for the next 6 months while he learns the English lanuage. He is starting with simple classroom words etc. While his english is not yet excellent, he communicates quite well and is picking up the language very fast. We have already tried some vietnamese spring rolls he bought… yum.

Lee’s Dad is currently also in Australia and is taking us out for chinese on Friday night to have dinner with him and Nam. Nam is Lee’s uncle who lives here in Australia. Lee and his Dad are very generous, they gave us a beautiful embroidery of a vietnamese countryside, as well as some silk ties for me and some Guess perfume for Relle.
