Practical Jokes

Practical Jokes

So I’ve decided I should do something practical and positive for the greater community, and amongst my ranting and raving about not much at all, and the occasional movie review, I thought I should share with you my practical jokes… so you too can pass them on ‘in a practical way’ to others

The Garage Sale

Ok, so I’m sure one day I’ll still come to regret this one, probably got the wrong mark (Mark - the person marked by you to play a practical joke on)

We placed an ad in the local newspaper for a garage sale, not that there actually was one, gave them our friends address and advertised old car parts and antiques - that really gets the hardcore garage sale shoppers and wheelers and dealers out of bed. We were nice though, we said ‘not before 6 am’. We kindly purchased the kit that provided us with balloons, a stake, and some signs which we put at each end of the street and in his front yard. 5.45 we arrive to video 5 cars of people already waiting. At 6am we watched as they all got out of their car and raced each other to the door. Out comes our mark, in only his boxers having to explain he thinks it might be a prank. Quite hillarious. Stay tuned for the next installment.

Camp Practical Jokes
Camp Practical Jokes

These are ones I’ve actually done on camps:
  • Glad wrap over toilet seat - Caution don’t get caught, messy clean up if they find out it was you!
  • Steal all the spoons - very funny to come out to breakfast and see people using tea spoons and soup ladles to try and eat their cereal
  • FM bug - hide an FM bug in the girls room and tune in your radio
  • Give someone some wizz fizz - replace the wizz fizz with salt (You can undo the packet without ripping it if your careful, use some juice or glue to stick it back up again)
  • Give someone some wizz fizz - replace the wizz fizz with powered laxative
  • Wrap two girls together with glad wrap, carry them and put them out front of the leaders dorm room and knock on the door, then run - we convinced them that we didn’t believe one roll of glad wrap could hold two people together without them easily getting out
  • Stack all the chairs and tables in the main eating hall in one huge pile
  • Turn all the chairs and tables, paintings, everything you can in the main eating hall… upside down!

Practical Joke - Prank Call
Ok, so been a while since I’ve added to the practical jokes section, and I still have so many to write about.
My favourite prank call went as follows:
Friend 1 calls target: “Hi I was wondering if I could speak to Ben please?”
Target: “No sorry, You’ve got the wrong number”
Friend 1: “Oh. Sorry. Is the number I called “
Target: “Yes thats the number, but no Ben here sorry”
Friend 1: “Well he said if he wasn’t there that I could leave a message, can I leave a message please?”
Target: “No, sorry, I think you have the wrong number”
Friend 2 repeats the whole conversation all over again an hour later
Friend 3 repeats the whole conversation all over again an hour after this
I call up an hour later, now 1am in the morning… a few of the people we did it to by this time had their phones off the hook. But those that didn’t I called and said:
“Hi this is Ben, just wondering if you have any messages for me?”
